Open the plu file and flag various items, then with a push of a button you can move them to a different department and subdepartment. This is great for cigarette promotions. You can select certain items that are on a manufacture's promotion and move them to their own subdepartment that you create. Once they are moved you can change all of the prices at once. When the promotion is over you can change all of the prices at one time to their original price and then move them back to the original department
Change prices in a department from the selected current price to a new price.
This is great for large groups of the same kind of items like cigarettes, cartons,sodas, juices, candies etc.. When a product group changes price you can change all of those items at the same time without missing a single item. You can also narrow this down by vendor.
To do this choose a department and subdepartment. The Wizard will then show you every different price that is in your selection. Next select the price you want to change. Lets say that you want to change $2.45 to $2.75. You would select the $2.45 that would be listed in your selection. Now you would type in the new price of $2.75. When you press the update button, everthing in that department and subdepartment that is $2.45 will then be changed to the new selling price of $2.75.
